Trademodo allows registered users to contribute different kinds of content, including ratings, reviews, photos, videos, direct messages, and more. With your help, Trademodo will continue to be the biggest and best online hub for global seafood trade. We have put together some guidelines for you to read, and hope you will help us enforce them when you flag content that does not belong in our community.
Integrity: Share your experiences and interact with others your way. Just try to avoid abusing our platform’s capabilities, and ensure that your contributions are always truthful.
Inappropriate content: It’s okay to be passionate and say it like it is, just stay away from threats, harassment, lewdness, hate speech, and other displays of bigotry.
Conflicts of interest: Your contributions should be unbiased and objective. Reviews must be based on actual interactions with a business. Don’t try to boost the ratings or reviews of a business owned by you, your employer, a friend, or members of a networking group or association. Definitely do not try to bring down your competitors when you have not done business with them. Business owners should not give customers incentives to influence the content of those reviews.
Promotional content: It’s okay to use your claimed business page and other features intended for promotions. Just don’t do things like going to other business pages to leave public reviews that promote your own business.
Relevance: Your contributions should always be relevant and appropriate. If you’re leaving a review, don’t turn it into an opportunity to rant about a business’s employment practices, political ideologies, extraordinary circumstances, or other matters that don't address the core of the customer’s experience.
Privacy: Refrain from publicizing other people’s private information. Avoid posting photos and videos if you do not have permission from patrons that can easily be identified. Only use the full names of service providers if they are commonly known for being associated with the business, or if they openly share their full names.
Intellectual property: Make sure your contributions are your own, or you have permission to use the content from the original owner.
Demanding payment: It’s okay to ask for refunds to remedy a bad experience, but you should not use your review as a way to extort or force a business to compensate you.
Great reviews help prospective customers understand why you gave them the rating that you did, and gives them insight into your experience with the business.
Personal experience: Share your firsthand experience with the business, not a story you heard from someone else. Focus on what happened, rather than assumptions or generalizations you are making about the business.
Accuracy: Your review must be factually correct. It’s okay to share your opinions, but avoid exaggerating or misrepresenting your experience. As long as the review is factual, Trademodo does not take sides when it comes to disputes between reviewers and business owners.
Review updates: If you update a review that you previously left a business, please ensure the changes reflect a new experience or interaction with the business.
Photos and videos that are uploaded must be relevant to the business, and should be reflective of a realistic experience. Show us what the business, products, or offerings look like. Selfies of yourself or a group of people in the context of the business is okay in your review, but if they may be removed from the business profile’s photos gallery.
This is your space to tell others who you are, and document your contributions to the Trademodo community. Users who come to your profile page want to know if they can trust your content, and if they like what they see they may decide to follow you.
The messaging platform is a private place for you to communicate with industry professionals and businesses. Avoid harassing other users or sending inappropriate content, otherwise you might get blocked by the recipient of those messages.
Your claimed business page is your portal to connect with your customers. Make it your own, but try to keep it professional as customers will form their impression of your brand based on how you conduct yourself.
Profile information: Try to keep your company information and contact details up to date. Users visiting your page will be relying on this information to connect with you.
Responding to reviews: Public responses to reviews is a great way to share your side of the story and show prospective customers how you handle feedback. It’s not a place to personally attack customers or offer incentives to improve the rating on reviews. It is recommended that disputes with unhappy customers are resolved through direct messages, rather than on your business page.
Photos and videos: Please keep media content current and relevant to your business. Try to avoid uploading derogatory content that may be offensive to other businesses and users.
Customer reviews: Business owners should not give customers incentives to influence the content of their reviews.
